Mantras for a Happier Life

The words we choose to say aloud and the phrases we repeat to ourselves play a huge role in shaping our existence. With that in mind, I want to share 5 mantras I am using for a happier life. They help me work through tough times, and encourage me to keep chasing my dreams.

Mantras can be used for many different facets of your life, and I have tried my best to cover a broad array of them here. My hope is that you find them useful in transforming your own life, in an effort to build a happier, healthier you!

What exactly are mantras?

Mantras are phrases that we repeat to ourselves, letting them sink deep into our subconscious. Finding a mantra that speaks to you and repeating it to yourself daily can help you shift negative thought patterns into uplifting, powerful phrases that can ultimately change your life.

How do they work?

Think about a phrase you use constantly to describe yourself.

“I’m tired.”

“I’m strong.”

“I’m forgetful.”

“I’m creative.”

“I’m a perfectionist.”

The more you repeat these statements (despite whether they are positive or negative), the more they become your reality. Knowing that, why don’t we choose words & phrases that help us live healthier, happier lives? Mantras do exactly that.

Feel free to use one of the mantras I share below or create your own! Mantras are most powerful when they resonate strongly with you, so if you don’t find one that feels right, manipulate an existing mantra to better serve your needs or start completely from scratch.

Bottom line? Find a mantra that speaks to you and repeat it to yourself often. When you find yourself getting caught in a negative tailspin, stop and replace your negative thoughts with a mantra that reflects your true beliefs as well as your dreams.

Mantras for a happier life:

Mantra for success:

“I am creating all that which I desire. I am open to all of the opportunities, money and success coming my way. The universe is conspiring with me to make all my wildest dreams come true.”

For when you’re stuck in the comparison trap:

“I am happy for him/her. They show me that what I desire is possible, and that if I want _____ I can have it, too.”

Mantra for your goals:

“I see the life I want and know I have the power to create it. I choose to make choices today that serve me and further my goals.”

And for when you’re feeling inadequate:

“I am more than enough. I have enough. I do enough. I am loved just as I am.”

For when you’re having a bad day:

“It’s okay. I’m okay. I am loved, even when I have a bad day. I choose to embrace that love and acceptance, and let go of the feelings that don’t serve me.”

Mantra for happiness:

“Happiness is a choice. Today I choose to let go of the feelings that don’t serve me. I choose to see the beauty; the light.”
